The West Des Moines based, exterior wall contracting firm, Architectural Wall Systems, co. (AWS), is pleased to announce its acquisition of the commercial and residential Service Divisions of Husker Glass, Inc. of Omaha, NE.

 

Mike Cunningham (CEO) and Tom Schlotfeldt (President) have been expanding AWSʼ services throughout the Midwest and nationally with a focus on providing single-source, state of the art building envelope systems. AWS will continue to offer full-scale services for designing, engineering, managing and installing custom and standard building skins.

 

AWS has been recognized nationally as a top exterior envelope contractor and has completed projects such as the Qwest Center, Roman L. Hruska U.S. Courthouse, and Pinnacle Bank in Omaha, Sprint Center in Kansas City, MO, and New Meadowlands Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ. AWS is currently providing and installing the building envelope for the T.D. Ameritrade Headquarters in Omaha, NE and looks forward to a permanent presence with which to serve the Nebraska market.

 

Dean Jessick, CEO and founder of The RedGlaze Group of Companies, which previously owned Husker Glass, will take his team partners and key personnel and expand both regionally and nationally to provide construction products and technology sales and services for national corporate identity roll-out programs.

 

This merger represents the integration of over 30 years of dedicated service to providing glass and building envelope products to the Midwest market. Husker Glass will continue providing all existing glass and glazing services while offering additional resources such as: integrative envelope design, full-scale engineering technology (BIM), professional project delivery management and world-class safety for projects of all scopes and sizes.
